We are Queer...and we are HERE!

We are students at the high school/college hybrid program. We go to school and do our best to learn. We go home and take care of homework and chores and everything else. We get on our phones to talk to friends or to find out the latest tik-tok trend. We have good days and bad days, just like pretty much everybody else. COVID sucks! And we also happen to be QUEER...that's it. The world is not coming to an end or the sun is not going to stop from shinning because of that.

We started this group to get together and talk about the things that are important to us, about so many things that are affecting our lives every day. We are lucky to have a supportive community here at the ECA, but many students like us are not. Did you hear about Florida banning school from discussing sexual orientation? Oh, you haven't?! Try looking it up, pretty scary stuff. This is one of the reason why we need a group like this, because life can be pretty scary when you are queer teenager.

If you are one of those queer teenagers looking for a place to belong, come join us! If you are a teenager trying to figure things out, come join us as well! You'll be safe with us and that is a promise.
